Solo exhibition as part of the Project Space
programme atTintype Gallery,
London. For this exhibition
the gallery became an environment for performance
in which up to three female protagonists employed
a series of rudimentary props and costumes to
create tableaux vivants. These were staged in the
large gallery window and among cardboard scenery
constructed in the space. The performance took
place throughout the gallery opening hours for the
length of the exhibition.
Performed with Beth Bramich, Daniella Valz Gen and
Laura Dee Milnes.

Responding to the particular environment of DKUK,
this newly commissioned live work traces through a
look book of pop-cultural and mythical figures whose
hair is key to their narrative. A protagonist who
awaits her salon appointment flicks between these
characters as if selecting a guise to adopt. The work
explores image projection both literally and
figuratively, interrogating the salon as a location
where identity is formed and performed.
